Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP)
Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machines are used in the treatment of sleep apnea. The device pictured covers the person's mouth and nose. Other CPAP devices cover only the nose (nasal mask) or are inserted into the nostrils (pillow). Proper fit and comfort vary widely but must be optimized for both effectiveness and ease of use.
